Estimates
allow users to create detailed Bill Of Material and
Product Routings and helps calculate a realistic costing for a specific line
item. Using estimations helps ensure you are not under-pricing work or
over-pricing so your company can maintain a competitive edge. There are 3 basic
steps to creating an estimate:
1. Create a list of required
materials (aka a Bill Of materials)
2. Create a detail routing of how
the job will be completed
3. Add a suitable mark-up & mark
the estimation as complete
Using a Bill
Of Material list also allows users to directly raise
purchase enquiries quickly and efficiently, improving the accuracy of the final
quote price.
